Upgrading to a lightweight crank pulley will reduce the weight on the engines belt system. You will feel a dramatic increase in acceleration and throttle response because of the decrease of rotating mass on the engine. All UR pulleys are designed to have perfect fitment and to install without modifications. This pulley was designed to exactly match the factory pulley's STOCK diameter. So a new belt is not required. Keeping the crank pulley at stock diameter is perfect for drivers who want the extra speed and acceleration without having to sacrifice power that can be used for audio (usually caused by running a underdrive, or smaller, crank pulley).
Stock Scion TC pulley weighs about 60oz. UR pulley is at 16oz. About 74 percent decrease in weight! Pulley is precision machined to maintain safe engine balancing. Profile of pulley edges are perfectly sized to match the factory belt.
