Certain GM and BMW vehicles have canbus systems that can cause errors when installing aftermarket HID kits. These systems detect a change in current to certain parts of the vehicles electrical system. Since Meng HIDs consume less power at a 35W range, vehicles that have factory 55W bulbs will sense a discrepancy in the current. These capacitors are designed to solve most flicker problems and error lights caused by canbus systems. Capacitor installs onto the ballast outlet, directly between the ballast and the plug and play wire.
